Today we're launching a beta version of Whitebox Research: A platform and system for Market Driven Equity Research that harnesses the collective intelligence of the market to analyze stocks quantitatively, through a financial model, and qualitatively, through conversation using blogs and RSS.
Whitebox Research uses a "start-page" environment to give you the ability to:
- Analyze stocks using a financial valuation model
- Converse about stocks by posting directly to your blog from the site
- Monitor what is being discussed by other Whitebox Research users and others on the Internet by bringing in feeds by ticker to tabs on your site and,
- Revise your financial analysis as you learn more information and change your thinking.
Most importantly, we allow you to see not only what you think the value of the stocks are but what the market thinks as well, based both on price, and what we call the Price Implied Expectation value from our financial model.
The platform is completely open and ultimately extensible, allowing for developers to build modules that capture real-time price feeds, charts, news, video, trading and any other application that can be envisioned.
We will be continually adding new modules to the platform and encourage your comments and participation because the more people who participate, the better the information.
